7-video series on “What To Do When THIS Makes You Suffer”
“Hello to you! I am back with video #6 on this 7-video series about what to do when this suffers… or this makes you suffer. This video, the sixth video, is about intuition so how can you suffer from your intuition. Obviously, it’s not your intuition that’s going to make you suffer, but when you’re not in contact, when you’re not in touch with your intuition, obviously, then you can suffer.
The symptoms are pretty obvious, but sometimes, we don’t understand what’s going on, and we don’t create the link with the intuition, so that’s when we suffer. The symptoms are, let’s say you’re waiting for some kind of sign, or you’re looking for some type of guidance and you can’t find it, if you feel lost, if you feel like something is off… something feels off, but you don’t really understand what’s going on, then you are suffering from a lack of connection with your intuition.
Basically, it’s, again, a super simple thing to work on, but it’s not really easy, because there is a really big contradiction that’s going on, right now, inside of you. And it’s always there, it has always been there, and it will always be there, too, so you constantly have to remind yourself of what you need to do in that particular case.
Basically, what’s going on: you have the ego and you have your intuition. The ego is the really loud voice that’s constantly speaking inside your head, and the intuition, it’s the really small voice in the back of your head that is, also, always talking, always speaking to you, but it’s a really low voice in the back of your head. The difference is the ego always wants more and always wants better… always… it’s never satisfied. The intuition always speaks, always pushes you to go out of your comfort zone to grow. It doesn’t necessarily, mean bigger, or better, or whatever, it’s just to take one more step, to go a little bit further to be able to get out of your comfort zone and grow.
Another difference, the ego is going to talk about fear, everything, every solution that the ego brings up is based in fear, so if you listen to the big voice and you have a feeling like, “Oh, I have to do that because, otherwise, if I don’t do that then I’ll miss this,” or, “If I don’t do that, I will run out of this,” then this is the ego speaking. When you get that fear of loss, or that fear of judgment, or that fear of bad comment, or shame, or guilt, then this is the ego.
If you get a feeling… sometimes, you might get a feeling of fear, even coming from the intuition… even if the intuition is constantly speaking out of love, then you might get fear, because the intuition is going to push you, gently push you, outside your comfort zone. When you’re listening to your intuition you might get a feeling of a little bit of fear, but it’s going to be a fear based in excitement. It’s going to be a fear based in pushing yourself a little bit further. It’s going to be a fear based in growing. It’s not going to be a fear based in loss or judgment, it’s going to be a fear, really, based in being, opening up and growing outside of your comfort zone.
Whenever you’re looking for guidance, what to do: if you just keep on going and keep on trying stuff, then you’re just listening to the ego, and then the ego says, “Well, go get more, go do this, go do that,” so the idea is to, not to completely quiet the ego, not to push it out or something, the ego is always going to be there, so you have to give it its place. Listen to the ego, jot down what’s going on, and then, take some time to listen to, intentionally and consciously, listen to the intuition and, again, jot down what’s going on.
Like in many of the previous videos, what needs to happen is that you need to slow down. Most of the time, you need to stop, completely stop, and really take the time to say OK. Give the place to the ego, give the place to the big voice, jot down what it’s saying, and then take a moment, a quiet moment, to listen to the intuition. The intuition is going to be there, it’s always there. It’s going to speak up — jot down what it says, and then you can move on on that new knowledge and on that new perspective.
I hope this is helpful to do the difference between ego and intuition and obviously, it’s to stop the suffering. You need to listen to your intuition more with the intention and the consciousness of saying, “I’m stopping and I’m listening to the intuition.” It’s important to listen, to hear the ego and then listen and act on your intuition.
